- Title
An Exploratory Survey of Foster Mother and Caseworker Attitudes about Sibling Placement.
- Authors
Smith, Maureen C.
- Abstract
The article provides information on a survey conducted to find out the attitudes and beliefs of caseworkers and foster parents about siblings in out-of-home placements. As the population of out-of-home care children is increasing the need to find appropriate family foster homes for individual children and, in many cases, to find homes that will meet the individual needs of children who are members of a sibling group is becoming a necessity. The survey conducted showed that foster mothers and caseworkers have decided opinions about the nature and importance of sibling relationships.
