- Abstract
This article reflects on antibiotic resistance among respiratory tract pathogens in children in regions near France. From 1989 to 2004 there is an increase in resistance among respiratory pathogens in children in Geneva, Switzerland. Geneva is a city with many inhabitants from other countries with higher bacterial resistance rates like France. Also, there is a low rate of penicillin resistant in children in Freiburg, Germany in 2002 but its contact with France is less intensive than Geneva.
