- Abstract
Several factors such as economy, health, technology and education affect the development levels of countries. In this study, classification algorithms, used in estimating development levels of countries are compared, considering a number of variables. Gross capital formation, life expectancy at birth, prevalence of malnutrition, advanced technology exports, industrial added value (including construction), population growth, urban population, GDP per capita, gross domestic product, total unemployment (as the percentage of labor force), inflation (GDP deflator) and gross capital were determined as the set of variables used in the study. For the study, WEKA (Waikato Environment for Knowledge Analysis) program developed with Java programming language at Waikato University which is used in data mining was used.
