- Title
Save the Date for Peak oil.
- Abstract
This article explores the occurrence of global peak oil production. Some analysts believe oil peak has already occurred, some think it will happen in the first decade of the 21st century, and some predict dates as late as the 2030s. Experts at Cambridge Energy Research Associates (CERA) stated that peak oil would not be reached as soon as some think, due to the rate of production decline. Reporter Neil King examines the quantifiable logistics for new oil production using CERA's predictions, which may not offer an industry vote of confidence to an increasingly questioning public.
