- Abstract
The article presents a rare documentation of the effects of a bite by a Whistling Spider, Phlogius Crassipes, Family Theraposidae, commonly known as the Australian Tarantula. The effects was noted from the spider's bite to the recession of symptoms the following day. Stiffness, tenderness and inflammation were still observed on the victim's index finger, which was the actual bite site, three weeks after. The experiment took place in Cooktown North Queensland, Australia.
