Abstract
The article focuses on the decision of a U.S. court, given in the year 1966, in the lawsuit Local 1416, International Association of Machinists, AFL-CIO v. Jostens, Inc. The court decided that where union, pursuant to broad arbitration clause, sought to compel employer to arbitrate dispute involving job duties of supervisory employees, forceful evidence of intent to exclude the dispute was required.
