- Abstract
The article offers poetry criticism of works by 18th-century French writer Charlotte Curé. It discusses the role of working-class women in France, letters between Curé and well-known writers of the period including Jean-Jacques Rousseau and Voltaire, and aspects of Curé's life including her lack of training in literature and her employment at Le Caffé Allemand in France. Works discussed include the anthology "La Muse Limonadière" and the poem "Ode en prose au roi de Prusse."
