- Abstract
The article offers information on the history, development and significance of the student drug testing laws and student rights in the U.S. It informs that student drug testing policies and practices plays a vital role in transformation of parenting and prevention of adolescent drug use. It analyzes the judicial decision of the U.S. Supreme Court in the student free expression case Tinker v. Des Moines Independent Community School District regarding rights to freedom of speech for students.
