- Abstract
The article discusses a study on the use of earth-sheltered structures in providing long-term constant temperature for indoor environment. The study conducted energy simulation for the mountainous region of Cyprus and compared the thermal performance of earth-sheltered structures and ground structures. It identified various factors that affect the energy efficiency capacity of a building, including construction material, typology of the building and the sun direction.
