- Abstract
The article examines developing countries' compliance with the Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) through the experiences of South Africa and Nigeria. It compares how and to what extent these two countries have complied with their TRIPS obligations and to explore the reasons for their behaviour. It also provides an overview of the TRIPS Agreement, including its negotiating history.
