- Abstract
In this article the author comments on finding the right formula for research and development in Great Britain. He stresses that in terms of advancements on research and development initiative, the country is currently second only to the U.S. He cites a report called "A vision for UK research," from the Council of Science and Technology (CST) that suggests the need of the Great Britain to adopt a clear long-term vision for supporting the research base and deriving the benefits.
