The article examines a cage cup fragment from Ephesus, Turkey. Particular focus is given to how cage cups are considered valuable products of Roman artistic glassmaking. Additional topics discussed include a series of earthquakes in the city of Ephesus between 129 and 126 and how the fragment represents a face made of blue glass.
