- Abstract
The article examines the scholarly attention received by the arma Christi rolls of late medieval England. Topics discussed include the debate concerning the use of the scrolls as either an instrument of religious devotion or magical incantation, an analysis of the contents of the scrolls based on the language and sentence structure used, and a brief description of their physical dimensions. Also mentioned is Rossell Hope Robbins' publication of the scrolls in 1939.
