Family medicine sees small gains in filling residency positions.
- Abstract
The article provides statistical data regarding residency positions in family medicine and other primary care specialties taken from the National Resident Matching Program organization the U.S. as of March 17, 2006. There is an 85 percent fill rate for residency position in the area of family medicine. A graph was presented depicting large increases in fill rate between 1993 and 1997 followed rate decreases between 1998 and 2003.
