The article presents a study that evaluated the effectiveness of Road to the Code, a phonological awareness program for kindergarten and first-grade students who have difficulty with early literacy skills, and determined its components' necessity and sufficiency. Topics discussed include the lessons featured in the program, the phonological awareness screening of students and the results of the assessment.
