The article presents a study which examines the challenges associated with literacy programs in Turkey. It notes that the study was conducted using a semi-structured interview with teachers through appointments which lasted 30-40 minutes on average. It highlights that the common reading problems were lack of time, the prominence of technology which divert students' interest from reading, and poor reading habits observed among students.
