- Authors
Jonovic, Donald J.; Messick, Wayne D.
- Abstract
Due to unique features of geography and psychology, America's farm owners are underserved by the financial planning community. The family farm as it emerges into twenty-first century will represent a significant, growing market. The financial planner is in a unique position to fill the role of "planning coordinator" to begin helping the farm owner plan for succession and transition. This article discusses some basic psychological and emotional issues and strategies for working with farm families.
