- Title
Entrepreneurial Ecosystems: Theory, Practice and Futures.
- Authors
Au‐Yong‐Oliveira, Manuel
- Abstract
The book considers both the academic entrepreneur (and the role of knowledge-intensive research universities in successful entrepreneurial ecosystems) and the agile entrepreneur (who is quick to address immediate issues and unbounded by procedures and budgets, as is the case of public agencies). "Entrepreneurial Ecosystems - Theory, Practice and Futures" is a timely book, published at a moment when we are very much aware that things are so much harder, if not impossible in isolation. Finally, Spigel emphasizes that besides the local/regional cultural and economic influence on entrepreneurial endeavours, the interactions within and between different entrepreneurial ecosystems will play an important role for high-growth businesses, in the so-called ' I relational economic geography i ' (Spigel, [1], p. 132).
