- Abstract
Zusammenfassung   Mit einer Pr�valenz von ca. 40% ist die Diagnose âDepressionâ die h�ufigste psychische St�rung bei der Parkinson-Krankheit. Die Lebensqualit�t der Betroffenen ist dadurch deutlich eingeschr�nkt. Zum Zusammenhang beider St�rungen gibt es noch keine eindeutigen Befunde, zum einen gibt es Hinweise auf gemeinsam zugrunde liegende neurodegenerative Ver�nderungen, gleichzeitig scheint die Depression sich oftmals als dysfunktionale Bew�ltigungsreaktion auf die motorischen, emotionalen und sozialen Belastungen im Rahmen der Parkinson-Erkrankung zu entwickeln. Die Autoren weisen auf Besonderheiten im depressiven Symptomprofil bei Patienten mit komorbidem M. Parkinson hin und empfehlen ein gestuftes diagnostisches Vorgehen, bestehend aus einem kurzen Screening, einer kriterienorientierten Diagnostik nach ICD-10, einer quantitativen Absch�tzung der Depressivit�t sowie der klinisch hoch relevanten Abkl�rung der Suizidalit�t. Es wird ein �berblick �ber die g�ngigsten Behandlungsmethoden bei Depressionen und M. Parkinson gegeben: Pharmakologische, somatische und psychologische Ans�tze werden skizziert und hinsichtlich ihrer Wirksamkeit bei dieser speziellen Patientengruppe eingeordnet.
