- Abstract
The article presents the research on the effects of lead exposures on children's blood pressure. It mentions induction of hypertension to lab animals and adults exposed to lead. The neurological effects of lead to young children, which includes diminishing of intelligence and behavior alteration, are discussed. Children from Baltimore, Cincinnati, Philadelphia and Newark who are exposed to lead were treated with oral chelating agent succimer to verify if it can help improve their scores on behavioral and cognitive tests. The findings of the research are discussed.
