- Abstract
A biography of Jewish young elocutionist Sam Kohn of Utah is presented. During his bar mitzvah at a Mormon Tabernacle, Kohn delivered a lecture on the oppressions and persecutions of the Jews during the biblical era. Particular focus is given to the review given by Ogden newspapers to Kohn's address at the July 4, 1895 Independence Day celebration. He graduated from high school at the age of fifteen. His graduation speech was entitled "How Great Are the Gifts of Nature?"
