- Abstract
In this study, Bâkî's Divan was examined in terms of poetic words, terms and concepts, the words and phrases that Bâkî used in return for poetry, the poetic features of his poems, his metaphors about poetry, meaning, imagination, style, etc. His thoughts on poetic elements related to poetry, in short, his understanding of poetry were tried to be determined. Bâkî expressed his views and thoughts on the understanding of poetry in his divan in a scattered way, as in many poets, instead of saying it neatly. Again, like many poets, he preferred to express his poetic thoughts primarily from his own poetry. His poetic verses on the subject are mostly in the pseudonym couplets of his ghazals, later in the fahriye sections of his odes, and to a lesser extent in kıt'a, matla, etc. contained in other clauses. According to Bâkî, who mostly uses the words "nazm and şi'r" in these poetic lines, although he includes different expressions in return for poetry, poetry is "âb-dâr, selîs, revân, nâzik, sûznâk, şîrîn, garrâ, dil-avîz, rengîn, musanna. ', it should be new, fresh, beautiful, written with a God-given talent, contain joy and fun, be accepted by everyone, its fame should spread all over the world, it should have an extraordinary effect, it should be a means of presenting the beloved to the beloved, it should arouse respect in the readers, silence the enemies and value it. should be made available to those who know. Bâkî wrote his poems as "sea, fragrance, gift, glass, sword, commodity, square, jewellery, property, lover, water, sunbul, sugar" etc. By analogy with many elements, he points to their different poetic aspects. In his evaluations, the poem also includes imagination, meaning, wit, idea, style, wording, etc. Referring to the relationship between the elements and the elements, Bâkî also expressed his views and thoughts on the issues affecting poetry and writing poetry. These determinations and evaluations we have made about the poetry understanding of Bâkî, who wrote his poems in the period when the classical Turkish poetry was most effective and was known as the sultan of poets in his time, contain important results for the studies on the poetics of the poet in particular and the poetics of classical poetry in general.
