- Abstract
The changes of several characteristics (degree of polymerization, crystallinity index, fraction composition) of various types of celluloses (cotton, wood sulfite and sulfate, cellophane) that occur through the action of γ-radiation were examined. It was shown that the characteristics of radiationchemical modification of cellulose and aqueous solutions of carboxymethylcellulose could be calculated and used as bases for developing industrial processes for processing cellulose materials.
