- Abstract
The article discusses the hermeneutic theology of Saint Augustine of Hippo regarding the soul and divine creation and its importance to contemporary theological anthropology. Topics discussed include Augustine's notion of potentiality of creation pertaining to matter of information and seminal reasons, the application of emergence theory to Christian theology and spirituality, and the anthropological theory of dualism and materialism.
