- Abstract
The unique İznik ceramics of the Ottoman Empire exhibition today in the well-known galleries of England. 19th century İznik ceramics, which have been systematically and consciously included into museum collections from the second half of the century, are exhibited in many museums in England, especially the Victoria and Albert Museum, British Museum, Cambridge Fitzwilliam Museum and Oxford Ashmolean Museum. İznik ceramics present to the visitors with different methods and display areas in all the mentioned museums. The main subject of this article will be the display format of İznik ceramics in collections of British museums, which are exhibited in galleries based on their relationship with European countries such as Italy, England and Middle East countries such as Iran and Syria. The interaction of İznik ceramics with other nations will be revealed in the display method that reveals the richness and width of the Islamic culture extending from Spain to China.
