The article reflects on the shortcomings of criminal laws in regulating revenge porn and several laws attempting to criminalize revenge porn in the U.S. Topics discussed include the protecting privacy and revenge porn victims, the use of civil suits to prevent revenge porn such as privacy torts or copyright claims, the application of revenge porn laws to website owners and operators who republish user submissions and the U.S Computer Fraud and Abuse Act.
