- Title
Where Have You Gone, Thomas Jefferson?
- Authors
Morain, William D.
- Abstract
The author expresses his thoughts about American history, where memorization of significant documents from the country's past was said to be relatively less captivating. The author says that he attempted to diagram a sentence made by former U.S. President Thomas Jefferson that brought the country into being. He adds that there have always been differences between U.S. mountain folk and flatlanders and that geography does produce and cement heritage although it does not define the totality of destiny. The author mentions the vigor of multifamily scholarship cultivated by the John Whitmer Historical Association.
