- Abstract
The article presents the study of common minke whales population in Antarctica by the use of individual whole-genome sequences. Topics discussed include on the basis of mitochondrial sequences estimation of two minke whale species occurred; time since the most recent common ancestor (TMRCA) distribution between alleles gives information of historical changes in effective population size; and diploid genome contained many independent loci with its own TMRCA between alleles.
