- Abstract
Fast-moving low Cumulus humilis and Cumulus fractus frequently result in alternating radiation, which in turn may result in the flicker of the voltage of photoelectrical (PV) farms. Therefore, it is suitable to study alternating irradiance under such clouds. Measurements were made at the Tallinn University of Technology in the summer season of 2008 and 2009, 59.48° N and 24.65° E at 30 m above sea level. The share of such clouds, increments of radiation, methods to select fronts of the irradiance, speed of the cloud (shadows) and their linear dimensions were measured with a sampling interval of 1 s. Results of (statistical) analysis are presented in the paper.
