- Abstract
Porphyria cutanea tarda (PCT) is a phototoxic cutaneous disease linked to elevated liver iron levels and photosensitizing heme precursors. We pose two possibilities; first, PCT may manifest as a lichenoid eruption on chronically sun-exposed skin or, alternatively, PCT and a lichenoid eruption could have developed independently in our patient.
