The article is a book review of "Positive Communication for Leaders: Proven Strategies for Inspiring Unity and Effecting Change" by Mirivel J. C. and Lyon A. The book focuses on positive leader communication, which is defined as verbal and nonverbal messages that create and strengthen workplace relationships, internal stakeholder well-being, and a supportive culture. The authors present a model of positive leader communication that includes six key behaviors: Greet, Ask, Complement, Disclose, Encourage, and Listen. The book also addresses ethical work communication, virtual settings, and challenging communication situations. It offers practical advice and attainable objectives for professionals and educators, and has implications for scholars in terms of model evaluation, research questions, and leadership talent development.
