The article looks at the "Trabelsi v. Belgium" case of the European Court on Human Rights (ECHR) involving the issues related to extradition of terrorist suspects and aversion to whole-life prison sentences. Topics discussed include ECHR's laws related to prohibition of inhuman punishment in absolute terms; , sentencing guidelines in European states; and the sentencing range under the U.S. Criminal Code.
