THE SPAM FILTER ATE MY E-MAIL: WHEN ARE ELECTRONIC RECORDS RECEIVED?
- Authors
Bindman, Jevon C.
- Abstract
The article discusses the laws that govern electronic communications and spam email in America as of 2012, and it mentions the uncertainties that arise when spam email filters interact with the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act's (UETA's) definitions of the terms send and receive. Law-related rebuttable presumptions are addressed, along with the consumer-protection provision in the U.S. Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (E-SIGN).
