- Abstract
In this article, the author discusses the history of the Federal Renewable Energy Production Tax Credit (PTC), which was founded in the 1992 Energy Policy Act by the U.S. Congress. He is critical that PTC was introduced to help promote the transition to renewal energy production through offsetting the much higher energy costs. Also investigated is the legislative history of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007.
