- Abstract
The article discusses the responsibility management systems (RMS) for the global food retail supply chains of J. Sainsbury PLC in Great Britain. It cites the factors behind the emergence of RMS. It also describes the company's approach to managing responsibility. The accolades that Sainsbury has received from external sources for their voluntary initiatives are included. It has been noted that the type of framework presented by total responsibility management systems allow companies to establish their own responsibility vision and the level of responsibility they hope to achieve.
