- Abstract
An editorial is presented which addresses what the authors refer to as a proliferation of cash-only buprenorphine treatment clinics in America, and it mentions responses to America's opioid abuse crisis. Opioid agonist treatments with methadone or buprenorphine are examined, along with America's Drug Addiction Treatment Act of 2000, out-of-pocket medical expenses, and access to mental health treatment services.
