- Abstract
The article focuses on the U.S. government under the administration of U.S. president Donald Trump trying to get a healthcare plan to achieve universal coverage within an affordable price. It discusses the creation of risk pools in order to high health care costs through subsidized public funds, how some features of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) should be retained, and how countries like Switzerland and Singapore have achieved universal coverage by taxing their residents for non participation.
