- Abstract
The author discusses the development by Knoester Vanden Bout and colleagues for a tubular J-aggregate with amphiphilic cyanine derivative as molecular building block. He says that the tubular nanotube gains its photophysical properties from collective effects of supramolecular structure; thus, data are obtained on mutual arrangement of each building blocks. He adds that the authors were able to study the optical response of the inner cylinder despite the presence of the outer.
