- Abstract
In order to overcome poor searching ability and being prone to get a local best answer of the BBO, a bi-directional searching strategy is proposed. An orthogonal design and inversion operator is introduced into iteration of BBO to improve the convergence rate and global search capability. Experiments have been conducted on high-dimensional benchmark function. And the results indicate the good performance of HBBO. Then the proposed algorithm is used to solve optimization of the required parameters of a tuned mass dampers system, the results show that the algorithm succeed in overcoming the original defects and significantly improving its performance in accuracy and stability.
