- Abstract
The article offers information on a randomized clinical research related to the diagnosis and the use of peritoneal drains in the postoperative period of acute appendicitis. As stated, appendicular pathology examines the complications caused by passive prophylactic drains in the peritoneal cavity. As mentioned, routine drainage causes prolong stay in hospital, discomfort to the patients and more proneness to infections and postoperative complications.
