- Abstract
A study published in the International Journal of Rheumatic Diseases examined the use of the HEAD-US score in assessing hemophilic arthropathy in patients with hemophilia. The study found that there was fair to moderate agreement between rheumatologists and radiologists in assessing synovitis, cartilage damage, and bone damage in hemophilia patients. However, intraobserver agreement for both radiologists and rheumatologists was generally good to excellent. The study suggests that rheumatologists can contribute to the early detection of hemophilic arthropathy, similar to radiologists.
