- Abstract
This paper explores parallels between Social Constructionism as a branch of Social Psychology and Buddhist Psychology. The Buddhist principle of "dependent co-origination" and social construction principle of "relational being" is used as a bridge to explore the link between these two fields that began and grew independent of each other. Finally, the paper presents Appreciative Inquiry as a strength-based, affirmative approach to effect change in social systems.
