- Abstract
An essay is presented that discusses the notion of utopianism in relation to the thought of philosopher Giorgio Agamben, developing the notion of weak utopianism in relation to education. This is said to relate to messianic aspects of Agamben's thought. Other topics include Agamben's interpretation of the writings of the Christian Apostle Saint Paul, the concepts of space and time in Agamben's work, and the fictional character Bartleby in the writing of Nathanial Hawthorn.
