- Abstract
The article is a humorous consideration of fictional Cole Porter songs. The author suggests Porter went to Lima, Peru by mistake when he wanted to go to Peru, Indiana. The five songs written for "Mexican Hayride" were eaten by a chihuahua. The article states Porter wrote songs for pornographic films made by Wilmot "Pocket Pool" Swain. The song titled "Au Contraire, Mein Herr" was intercepted by a Luftwaffe officer and never made it Hitler. The song Porter wrote in payment for a loan was rejected and later used to line the bottom of a bird cage.
