- Abstract
It is a neglected tropical disease that mainly affects immunocompetent individuals involved in agricultural work or gardening due to exposure to contaminated soil and crop.[1] Insect bite-associated invasive fungal infections (IBA-IFI) typically occur as a sequela of penetrating trauma to the skin resulting in direct inoculation of fungus and is emerging as a separate entity although rare.[2] We herein report a case of probable chromoblastomycosis in a woman following bee sting. Chromoblastomycosis is a rare chronic granulomatous subcutaneous fungal infection manifesting as diverse clinical findings.
