- Abstract
Overall, patient recruitment and visits have increased since 2010 (Figure 1b), highlighting improvements in patient care and expert centre organization following the implementation of government-funded rare disease plans. 3 b The annual frequency of visits was calculated for each patient considering a follow-up period from the first to the last visit, and all types of visits (consultations, outpatient visits and hospitalizations). Epidermolysis bullosa (EB) is a heterogeneous group of rare genodermatoses characterized by mucocutaneous fragility resulting in recurrent blisters and ulcers.
