- Title
Pruning Affects Tree Movement in Hurricane Force Wind.

- Abstract
The article presents a study regarding the effects of pruning in the tree movement on live Oak tree when exposed to hurricane force winds. It suggests that thinning crowns markedly decreased upper trunk movement at all wind speeds while raising did not. On the other hand, lower trunk movement was not affected by pruning. The outcomes of the study suggest that trees can minimize the damage induced by hurricane if the appropriate reduction or thinning is applied.
