- Abstract
This article is a description of the process of compiling the "Collected Anthologies of Qing Poems and Other Writings." The project began in April 2004 as a collaboration between Renmin University of China and Peking University. The collection began with 3,000 works, which was expanded to over 4,000. The editors from Peking University Library, Renmin University of China, and the Shanghai Guji Publishing House decided on ten principles for the editing project. These concerned: the goals of the publication; selection criteria; the anthology itself; the editorial board; editorial guidelines; the publication format; the photographing of manuscripts; production; the publication date; and financing.
