- Abstract
The article compares the women between the documentary and the imaginary world. It informs that women of northern Mediterranean in ancient times were considered as Aphrodite, Cleopatra, and Dido, and Muslims women in this area were presented as soulless nonentities. It reflects the women who had contributed to the politics and culture of the Western Rif Mountains, Morocco, suggesting that the world has produced its own crop of dynamic and resourceful women. It informs that Sayyida al-Hurra, meaning the Nobel Lady has been used to refer to numerous women in the Muslim world who attained the position of ruler.
