- Abstract
The article presents a historiographical study of the relationship between the novels "Il Deserto dei Tartari," by Dino Buzzati, and "Le Rivage des Syrtes," by Julien Gracq, with a focus on the relationship between the authors, as seen in correspondence, comparative analysis, essays and opinions presented in journals and magazines. Topics discussed include publication history of the two works and the concept of literary influence, analogies present between elements of the works, and the influence of international writers, such as 19th century Russian author Alexandr Pushkin.
